After going through a series of football training, mountaineering challenges, and workshops on different topics, as well as hearing personal sharings from two celebrity mentors – para-badminton player Chan Ho-yuen and artist Johnny, the young leaders have officially completed their six-month leadership training journey. Six outstanding students, including Ma Ching-yee, Lau Chi-kwan, Chan Tsz-pang, Or Chun-yin, Chu Ka-ding and Mok Ka-lok, have been selected to travel to Manchester, UK in August to partake in volunteer training and community football services, to continue exploring their potential in football!
At the programme closing ceremony, mentor Johnny used his personal experience as a talent show host to encourage the young leaders: "The leadership programme is similar to a talent show. Just by participating, you’re already a winner – because the benefits you reap from the programme will last a lifetime." On what he gained from the programme, Lau Chi-kwan said, "The past six months have made me more grounded, and more courageous in the face of difficulties and adversity."
