Initiated by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust in 2018 with a donation of around HK$330 million, the Jockey Club SMART Family‐Link Project aims at leveraging advanced information and communication technologies in support of more effective and innovative service delivery provided by all 26 NGO‐operated Integrated Family Service Centres and Integrated Services Centres to promote family well‐being, as well as enhancing the sector capacity in the use of technology and data for family service innovations that can respond to emerging service needs. The project convenes multidisciplinary effort and collaboration between NGOs and academia to promote digital transformation for the welfare sector. The key components include designing an online case management system, developing blended mode of services, enhancing digital capacity building and conducting data analysis from service data across NGOs for service transformation and enrichment.
