Home to less than one per cent of the world’s thoroughbred racehorses, Hong Kong is nonetheless recognised as one of the leading jurisdictions in the world, admired for the competitiveness of its racing and the quality of its horses, trainers and jockeys.
Hong Kong has led the way in transforming racing into a vibrant sporting, social and entertainment experience, especially when appreciated live at the Club’s world-class racecourses at Sha Tin and Happy Valley.
Fundamental to Hong Kong’s success is the strong support of the Club’s horse-owning members and its leading practices in racing management. This includes the recruitment and training of top professionals, investment in state-of-the-art racecourse facilities, a strong commitment to horse welfare, and rigorous monitoring of races and racehorses to ensure complete integrity.
Under its Racing Vision 2030, the Club will bring its world-class racing to the Mainland from the 2025/26 season. The ultimate aim is to develop a fully-fledged equine industry in the Greater Bay Area.
