Carers play an important role in supporting elders “ageing in place”, allowing them to live safely in their own home and community as they age. However, carers themselves often face significant challenges, leading to stress throughout their caregiving journey.
To address this, the Jockey Club Carer Space Project was launched in 2023, with ten designated Carer Spaces and ten service points being launched across eight districts. Besides connecting over 40,000 carers and elderly people in need of care to timely and appropriate support services, the project also aims to raise public awareness and foster a carer-friendly community.
