The Jockey Club Youth Football Academy Summit is committed to holding special workshops to help players improve their life skills both off and on the pitch.

In 2018, the Summit once again held a media workshop for the Manchester United U16 players with multi-media communication expert Mal Thompson serving as their mentor. Through simulated press conferences and one-on-one interviews, the young players strengthened their communication and social skills. They benefited greatly and felt better able to handle themselves whether with teammates on the pitch or in future work-related interviews or media events.
