All Categories Staff Volunteer Activities About the Trust

Around 800 colleagues joined the "CARE@hkjc Fun Day" on 28 June 2024 at the Coffee Corner of the Jockey Club Headquarters to share the joy of serving the community.

With the main theme “Move to CARE”, the Fun Day offered various sports games including the "Hang Challenge" and the "Indoor Bicycle Race". These were particularly exciting, with colleagues competing to win titles such as "Mr Muscular" or "Ms Fitness". 

CARE Painters were there to provide well-received face and hand painting to the participants. In addition, colleagues won a scoop of gelato by completing an on-site quiz about CARE. With egg waffles, iced pineapples and BBQ sausages available at the FUN Day, colleagues enjoyed a “Happy Friday” while getting the latest information from the CARE@hkjc Volunteer Team (“CARE Team”)!

To further encourage colleagues to take part in volunteering, the Club has modified the Volunteers Appreciation Scheme for all full-time employees, effective 2024/25. The modified Scheme will lower the service hours requirement, making it easier for colleagues to get recognition for their active participation and dedication.

Raymond Tam, Executive Director of Corporate Affairs, attended the event and encouraged colleagues to join the CARE Team and take part in CARE services.
