As part of its role as a dynamic and transformative philanthropic organisation, the Club's Charities Trust seeks out the root causes of social issues and collaborates with partners to implement innovative solutions.
With this in mind, the Trust will organise the first international philanthropy forum in Hong Kong between 22 and 23 September under the theme of “Philanthropy for Better Cities”, with a focus on metropolitan social issues and the role of philanthropy in addressing them. It will be the opening event of Hong Kong International Philanthropy and Social Enterprise Week, offering an opportunity for global, regional and local philanthropists and industry experts to share best practices and facilitate future collaboration. .
As the convener of the “Philanthropy for Better Cities” forum, the Trust aims to provide a platform for exchanging ideas and establish long-term co-operative relationships with the overall objective of building Hong Kong into a better city.
The two-day forum will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Themes will include Youth & Education, Ageing & Health, Environment & Sustainability, Innovation & Technology and Private–Public Partnerships. Over 1,000 local and global philanthropists, industry experts and delegates, many of them from the Asia Pacific and Greater China regions, are expected to attend.
