The HKJC Community Cup is the first trophy match of the local football season and is unique in that combines football with a charitable purpose. The Club had sponsored this title match from 2014-2019 for six consecutive years not only in terms of prize money, but also in support of Hong Kong’s Premier League clubs. In addition, a portion of the Club’s sponsorship and the net proceeds from ticket sales on that day were donated to charitable organisations nominated by the two participating teams.
