HKJC Equestrian Team competes in cross country test of eventing competition
The Hong Kong eventing team, comprising HKJC Equestrian team riders Annie Ho (horse: Jockey Club Amy Lee 2), Thomas Ho (horse: Jockey Club Charlene Old), Patrick Lam (horse: Jockey Club Dyk 5), and Nicole Pearson (horse: Jockey Club Weronique), competed in the cross country test today (6 Sep), the second day of the eventing competition.
HKJC Equestrian Team rider Annie Ho completed the cross country test with 3.2 penalty points, securing her 8th place among 31 riders in the individual competition. Annie now has a total of 54.5 penalty points.
Hong Kong is fielding its largest-ever equestrian team at this year’s National Games and competing in all three equestrian disciplines for the first time, with eight local riders contesting the jumping, dressage and eventing competitions. They are supported by an 11-strong team of HKJC veterinarians, farriers and other supporting staff under the Hong Kong Equestrian Performance Plan that was initiated and funded by the Club.
Drawing on its equine expertise, the Club is pleased to support the development of equestrian sports through its public riding schools, by supporting the equestrian events of the Beijing Olympics and the Guangzhou Asian Games, and through nurturing elite riders who bring pride to Hong Kong
