Beas River Equestrian Centre (BREC) has a dedicated block of 20 stables used solely for the purpose of spelling or rehabilitation of active racehorses. These are horses that may require a long break (rehabilitation) or short break (spelling) away from training at Sha Tin.
The rehabilitation station at BREC is for active racehorses. It can accommodate up to ten horses at a time. There is no maximum length of stay. The rehabilitation station is intended as a long-break facility for injured horses. Horses can only be declared to run in a race 14 days after they return from the rehabilitation stables.
For the livery charge for keeping a horse in rehabilitation, please contact BREC Equestrian Administration Office . There can be veterinary charges if a horse becomes sick or injured and for any additional supplement or procedure that the trainer may request. There are also charges for bedding, horse feeds and miscellaneous items.
