Racing Incident Report

BOOMING CITY was slow to begin. From a wide barrier, EXPEDITIOUS was steadied and taken across behind runners in the early stages. In the early stages, LE ROSSIGNOL proved difficult to settle and in the Straight hung out. On straightening, TAIJI SPIRIT was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of LE ROSSIGNOL which when hanging out itself was awkwardly placed close to the heels of CHAMPION KING which shifted in slightly. No action was taken. At the 350 Metres, SUPER CEE JAY, which was having difficulty obtaining clear running, was steadied and shifted in away from the heels of TAIJI SPIRIT. After the 300 Metres, CRYSTAL was held up and unable to obtain clear running between ENCHANTED and CHAMPION KING. At the 250 Metres, BOOMING CITY was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of HE CAN TANGO. Throughout the race, CHAMPION KING travelled wide and without cover. LE ROSSIGNOL was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of LE ROSSIGNOL after the race did not show any significant findings. GRAND CRU and CHAMPION KING were sent for sampling.
