Background:
Charles Hills is the son of the late Barry Hills, one of the greatest racehorse trainers in the history of British racing. After leaving school, Charlie went to work in Australia for Colin & Peter Hayes as well as Gai Waterhouse. Upon returning home, he spent two years with James Fanshawe as assistant trainer before taking over his father’s licence in 2011. In 2013 he won his first Classic when Just The Judge saluted in the Irish 1000 Guineas before ending that year with another major milestone in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf with Chriselliam.
