1 PATCH OF THETA (H485) H Bowman H-/XB Crowded at the start, obtained a position ahead of midfield, travelled strongly into final 400M, cruised to the lead mid-straight before kicking away to score a huge win under top weight.
2 BEAUTY CRESCENT (H334) Z Purton TT Not hurried, settled down behind midfield, into clear 400M, closed off nicely to get 2nd near line but not able to trouble the runaway winner.
6 PRESTIGE ALWAYS (J300) K Teetan B Restrained to race 3-wide in midfield, left with no cover home turn, quickened up well to challenge for lead early straight but not pace of winner final 200M, lost 2nd near line.
13 SETANTA (G095) L Hewitson B/TT Jumped only fairly, switched off to race at the rear, plenty to make up top of straight, closed off well final 350M but left with too much to do.
14 THRIVING BROTHERS (J396) A Badel -- From a wide draw shifted across behind runners, settled near last, swung wide for home, ran on steadily to the line but no serious threat to first few.
5 AMAZING VICTORY (G123) A Atzeni TT Settled down midfield, held up for clear running 450M-400M, kept on fairly towards the line. Never a winning hope.
3 BEAUTY FIT (E279) B Avdulla E/P Tracked leaders, in 3rd spot 400M, gave a short-lived finishing response early straight, out-finished final 200M.
10 CALIFORNIA DEEPLY (G451) M Chadwick CP/TT Bumped at start, moved up to be vying for lead, led them to near 300M, no extra final stages.
4 GOLDEN ARTIE (G434) E C W Wong XB/H2 Jumped awkwardly, settled towards the rear, had no clear running early straight then responded only fairly final 300M.
8 GIDDY UP (J020) A Hamelin TT Settled down midfield along the inside, shifted out to challenge 350m but couldn't quicken enough. (Jockey : may not have appreciated the 7 day back up from last start.)
11 PHANTOM CYCLONE (J271) C L Chau V1/TT1 Dropped back towards the rear, had big task in hand 400M, ran past beaten horses only. Never dangerous.
12 ROMAN CROWN (J456) M F Poon -- Vied for early lead before taking a trailing position behind leaders halfway, came up emptied 300M, dropped away.
7 MASSIVE ACTION (E445) H T Mo SR/V Pressed forward, caught wide no cover outside the lead, no extra 300M, weakened rapidly.
9 LOST CHILD (G461) B Thompson -- Jumped well, caught wide and was restrained to a position ahead midfield, under pressure home turn and didn't finish the race off. (Irregular Heart Rhythm.)
