3 2 FAST PACE (C427) N Callan H Raced in midfield away from the rail, a long way from tear away front runner throughout. Entered last section over 8L form the lead before finishing very strongly in the final 300m to be beaten under a length on the line.
4 7 PLAY WISE (A411) M F Poon B Steadied & shifted back to last from a wide gate. Cornered at the tail over 12L from the lead before making up significant late ground down the outside to be beaten under a length. Huge finishing section.
5 12 YES WE CAN (C307) A Badel TT Drifted back after the start & raced worse than midfield on the rail. Moved away from the rail nearing the corner, entered last section 10L from the lead before making solid late ground to be beaten only 2L.
6 8 BULLETPROOF (D219) K C Leung B-/TT1 Showed speed, shared early lead before racing second away from rail. Continued second over 5L behind bond frontrunner at the 800m. Entered last section 4.5L behind before finishing off steadily to be beaten only 2L in midfield.
7 4 MORE THAN A HORSE (D141) C L Chau V-/B2/SR2 Drifted back after the start & raced second last along the rail. Continued near the tail over 14L from the lead at the 800m before finishing off steadily to midfield, beaten under 3L.
8 10 EXALTATION (C370) Z Purton V/TT Shifted behind runners from the outside barrier to settle worse than midfield away from rail. Ridden along from the 500m to improve, entered last section 10L from lead before finishing off evenly to midfield, beaten under 3L.

10 11 AMAZING LUCK (B401) M Chadwick B Began awkwardly before shifting behind runners & racing near the tail & slightly keenly early. Continued third from last over 13L from lead passing the 800m. Passed only a few tiring runners in straight & was never a factor.
11 14 JIMMU (C266) V Borges SR Had soft run in midfield on rail throughout but some 8.5L from the tear away leader passing the 800m. Cornered 7.5L from the lead before weakening out to finish worse than midfield.
12 1 CABLE SPEED (D459) C Wong -- Had good position 1,1 throughout early & middles stages. Began yielding ground passing the 600m mark before weakening poorly in the straight to be beaten just under 10L.
13 9 STAR OF RED (D194) M L Yeung TT Held narrow early lead before racing third on rail for majority. Continued 6L from the lead behind free-wheeling leader at the 800m mark before weakening badly in the straight to be long second last.
14 13 MCMUNIGAL (B335) H N Wong B/TT Raced in midfield on the rail throughout. Hard ridden from the 500m mark, entered last section 9L from the lead before weakening poorly to long last.
