2 12 TRAVEL BRAND (N112) K C Ng B/TT Slowly away, raced back with last few 6ls or so away on rails, aided by solid tempo, made ground between horses early in straight and lengthened nicely final 300m making good ground to take a clear 2nd.
3 4 SCARLET CAMELLIA (M141) K C Leung TT Landed a nice spot 1 out 1 back, sat just off a solid tempo, improved at 400m and set out after eventual winner, briefly made 2nd but couldn't wear down margin final 200m.
4 1 ENDOWING (N371) B Prebble P Dropped back from a wide gate to race behind midfield in running line,6ls or so from lead, solid pace helped, improved wider turning, kept closing soundly in straight to make frame.
5 13 CHATER DREAM (P117) T Berry -- Out with rest, raced just off speed 3ls back on rails, enjoyed an easy time in middle stages, set out after leader turning but made no impression last furlong, kept on evenly though.
6 10 NICE FOLKS (CL421) R Fourie P-/B2 Showed early speed, took a nice trail on leaders back, used a bit on solid tempo, right there turning but lacked extra gear last 300m, lost spot final furlong.
7 11 KING OF SCOTS (CK084) C Y Ho -- No early speed, settled last on rails 7ls or so back, still well back turning with plenty to do, made ground between horses and passed a few in run to line without ever looking likely.
8 7 WRATH OF FIRE (CL420) T Angland -- Positioned just off midfield on rails, 5ls from lead, aided by solid sections, kept to rails in straight but unable to capitalize on runs when they appeared and just struggled in run to line.
9 6 POETIC JUSTICE (P182) G Mosse H/XB/TT Ordinary break, shared rear 7-8ls back, still well back turning and came wider, made some minor ground but lacked customary finish and struggled to make any headway final 200m.
10 2 AUTUMN GOLD (P044) D Whyte SR-/XB1 Took a midfield spot 4-5ls back in running line. No excuses in run and was suited by tempo, made a brief bid turning, in but no extra from 200m and gave ground thereafter.
11 14 DOUBLE GLORY (P181) H W Lai H Showed early speed but couldn't get closer than 3 wide in midfield, did have cover 4-5ls back, fading before turn and dropped further out of contention in straight.
12 9 LUCKY FOREVER (M058) C Y Lui B/SR Raced further back than usual, 3 wide behind midfield 6ls or so from speed, tempo suited but forced wide on bend, struggled to find final 400m and never got into it.
13 3 PERFECT CHEERS (M341) Z Purton B/TT Pressed on from a wide gate to race outside leader, used a bit with solid early sections, under pressure at 400m, lost ground rapidly in straight when hard run took toll.
14 8 WEALTHY FORTUNE (P324) C W Wong -- Caught 3 wide without cover from outset, 2-3ls off solid speed, began to struggle rounding bend, dropped out to be beaten a long way.
