5 13 MY WHISKY (CK071) Y T Cheng B/TT Showed usual speed to work across from outside gate and take up running, set even tempo in mid section, led turning but soon tackled, gradually lost advantage final 300m.
6 5 EVERYBODY SINGS (M168) B Prebble H Showed more speed than at debut, raced 1 out 1 back, there to bend, didn't show extra in straight and struggled final 200m (lame next day).

10 2 MI REILLY (CJ199) K C Ng -- Showed good speed to lead before taking trail, had fair run thereafter with standard tempo, found little when asked and soon folded.
10 9 FLYING CHAPARRAL (M245) C K Tong -- Positioned prominently 2Ls or so away racing 2 wide, raced 3 wide without cover from 1000m, working hard approaching bend, steadily faded after using too much.
12 7 GO LUCKY GO (CJ320) C W Wong H No early speed and raced next to last 10ls off leaders, always well back, never a factor.
13 10 HIGH COMMAND (CL390) P Strydom H-/TT Posted 3 wide in midfield, 5Ls back with cover to bend, folded soon after straightening.
14 4 DOUBLE LUCK (CH239) O Doleuze H-/CO- Came out very awkwardly and was detached, never really competitive (fractured nose and bleeding although not deemed to have bled).
