6 ROMANTIC CITY (CL023) Z Purton -- Sprung from gates, led easily, rolled along at good sections to bend, kicked clear and established a good break, ran away to be an easy winner.
12 MI REILLY (CJ199) Y T Cheng -- Began well, camped on leaders back, had all favours in run, clear turning when leader skipped away, stayed on but couldn't wear down margin.
5 CHATER MIKADO (M100) D Whyte -- Out in line, raced midfield, 3Ls or so back, came along inside in straight and closed creditably for placing.
8 ELEGANCE DESIRE (CL102) D Beadman XB Behind midfield early, 5Ls back, came 3-wide at 600 M, had trail before swinging 4-wide on turn, closed hard down outside, run ended at 100 M.
9 SEEK N' DESTROY (CL221) M L Yeung -- No early speed, rear trail 5Ls or so away on fence, saved ground on bend, finished off well to be nearest on line.
10 MR VIGOROUS (CL189) T H So -- Drifted back to race in midfield, 3-wide with cover, 4 to 5 Ls back to turn, came wide on bend, made even progress without threatening.
7 SUPER BOY (CK405) H W Lai TT- Allowed to slide back from an awkward ally, 5 to 6 Ls back in running line, job to do turning, made some minor progress.
3 FOREVER ELATION (CK215) M Guyon B Settled before midfield 4Ls or so away, severely checked at 500 M, shifted back to turn, lost momentum and just held ground in straight.
1 PERFECT GEAR (CL014) C Y Ho -- Came out with them, planted very wide at rear, hung and still 4-wide to turn, tired only bend horses home.
11 NEW GLORY (CK304) C W Wong -- Box seated just behind them, 1 out 1 back thoroughly, caught behind a tired horse turning and lost valuable ground, clear when too late. (See Racing Incidents.)
4 GOOD WORDS (CL371) M Chadwick TT Pressed on to race outside leader, did share of work with even sections, struggling on turning and faded out in straight.
2 ROYAL FLUSH (CK184) N Callan V/XB/TT Began well, went forward but trapped 3-wide without cover, used up throughout, faded final 200 M and bumped when tiring.
