Racing Incident Report
Pla. | Horse No. | Horse | Incident |
| 11 | AMAZING AWARD (J236) | Shortly after the start raced tight between BEAUTY ALLIANCE and HANDSOME BOMB which shifted out slightly. Shifted out after the 900 Metres and was bumped. Sent for sampling post-race. |
| 4 | STURDY RUBY (H207) | Lay out making the Home Turn and in the early part of the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race. |
| 7 | SKY VINO (K054) | Jumped awkwardly and shifted in abruptly, resulting in its rider M L Yeung becoming unbalanced. When questioned, M L Yeung stated that after responding to his riding in the early part of the Home Straight he felt that his mount became one-paced near the 200 Metres. He said as a result he elected to change his whip from his left to his right hand but as he did so his whip became caught in his gloves and as a result he had difficulty pulling it through to his right hand for some distance thereafter which prevented him from fully testing his mount through that section of the race. |
| 1 | BEAUTY ALLIANCE (J260) | Bumped shortly after the start. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race. |
| 9 | DEVILDOM (H445) | After the event, K De Melo reported that he was instructed to take up a forward position as connections felt that there was a lack of pace in the event. Assistant Trainer H W Cheung confirmed the instructions issued. |
| 2 | THESIS (H111) | From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Leaving the 900 Metres was taken wider by AMAZING AWARD which shifted out to obtain a trailing position behind BEAUTY ALLIANCE. In this incident, THESIS was bumped by AMAZING AWARD and then raced wide and without cover from that point. |
| 5 | HANDSOME BOMB (H402) | No report. |
| 12 | LITTLE FAIRY (H206) | Despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. |
| 6 | AMAZING RUN (H401) | From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. |
| 3 | PRINCE ALEX (G307) | After the event, H Bentley reported that after obtaining a trailing position behind SKY VINO he was unable to improve approaching the 500 Metres and as a result his mount lost momentum during that section of the race. He said as PRINCE ALEX is somewhat one-paced, it then took some time to respond to his riding in the Home Straight when placed under pressure. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. |
| 8 | TO INFINITY (G277) | From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Sent for sampling post-race. |
| 10 | LIGHTNING BOLT (G130) | After the event, H T Mo reported that his mount raced keenly in the early stages due to the pace of the race in the early stages being run outside of standard time. He said as a result LIGHTNING BOLT gave ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. |
