Racing Incident Report
Pla. | Horse No. | Horse | Incident |
1 | 6 | KEEFY (G306) | When questioned regarding the improved performance of the horse, Trainer F C Lor stated that whilst KEEFY had raced disappointingly this season, he had been encouraged by the horse winning a barrier trial on 16 May 2024. He said today, in his opinion, KEEFY was advantaged by carrying a light weight at 119 lbs and also racing outside the lead in a race that was run outside of standard time throughout the early and middle stages. Sent for sampling post-race. |
2 | 5 | SUPERB BOY (G335) | Sent for sampling post-race. |
3 | 2 | WONDER KIT (G455) | When questioned regarding the tactics adopted on WONDER KIT, L Hewitson stated that his instructions were to ride WONDER KIT with cover as the stable had expected SUPERB BOY to lead the event. He said when WONDER KIT was not the best to begin, he was able to comply with his instructions, however, WONDER KIT raced keenly in the early stages. Trainer K W Lui confirmed that Jockey Hewitson was given the option of riding his mount with cover if it did not commence well. Sent for sampling post-race. |
4 | 3 | SUPREME LUCKY (G457) | No report. |
5 | 4 | SPIRITED EXPRESS (G356) | Kicked a rail on the way to the Start, examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Shortly after the start was crowded between KEEFY and SUPERB BOY, both of which shifted ground. After the race, B Avdulla reported that he had some concern with the horse in the Home Straight when it did not fully stretch out. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, SPIRITED EXPRESS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. |
