| 8 | I GIVE (H036) | Was sent for sampling post-race. |
| 5 | KA YING WARRIOR (H028) | Was sent for sampling post-race. |
| 2 | KAHOLO ANGEL (H216) | When questioned regarding his riding out over the concluding stages, H Bowman stated that KAHOLO ANGEL lay in when placed under pressure in the Home Straight and near the 100 Metres he was required to put more pressure on his left rein when the horse continued to lay in. He added over the concluding stages, whilst he continued to ride KAHOLO ANGEL out to the finish, he was unable to apply his full and usual vigour as his focus was on preventing KAHOLO ANGEL, which was commencing to tire, from shifting in further and causing interference. After viewing the patrol films, the Stewards accepted the explanation offered by Jockey Bowman. |
| 7 | PRINCE CHISWICK (G388) | No report. |
| 13 | RATTAN WORLD (G384) | Was slow to begin. In the early part of the Home Straight lay in when racing tight to the inside of MARVEL DRAGON. As a result, K De Melo had some difficulty in riding his mount out through that section of the race. |
| 1 | WONDERFUL UNICORN (G362) | Was reported by the Veterinary Surgeon to have bled from both nostrils after the race. Before being allowed to race again, WONDERFUL UNICORN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. |
| 6 | COMMANDING MISSILE (G210) | Was crowded at the start. After the race, C L Chau advised that his intention was to race in a forward position but was obliged to settle back in the field after being crowded at the start. |
| 11 | BIG TWO (E310) | Jumped awkwardly. |
| 9 | DRAGON DELIGHT (G395) | From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. |
| 3 | ALL ARE MINE (H293) | After the 800 Metres was obliged to race wide and without cover. |
| 4 | BLISSFUL STAR (E168) | After the 800 Metres was obliged to race wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. |
| 12 | MARVEL DRAGON (D111) | No report. |
| 10 | DASHING SUCCESS (H152) | The performance of, DASHING SUCCESS, which finished tailed out on the second consecutive occasion, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, DASHING SUCCESS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a series of consecutive barrier trials and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. |
UR | 14 | SMART LEADER (B456) | The Stewards deferred the declaration of weighed-in whilst they considered if SMART LEADER had been afforded a fair start. After viewing the patrol films and taking evidence from the Starter, Mr A Speechley, the Stewards found that as the start was effected SMART LEADER reared and jumped awkwardly, resulting in its rider, H Bentley, being dislodged. As the Stewards were satisfied that such occurrence happened simultaneously to the start being effected, SMART LEADER was declared a runner. Before being allowed to race again, SMART LEADER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, H Bentley was examined by the Chief Medical Officer and passed fit to fulfil his remaining race riding engagements. |
