Racing Incident Report
TURTLE AGAIN jumped only fairly and then was crowded by AMAZING BOY which shifted out.
BRILLIANT PIONEER shifted in at the start and bumped the hindquarters of HAPPY ANGEL. Then near the 1400 Metres, BRILLIANT PIONEER commenced to race keenly and was steadied away from JUNE PLANET. Again when the pace steadied passing the 1200 Metres, BRILLIANT PIONEER was steadied away from the heels of JUNE PLANET.
From a wide barrier, RIGHT AS RAIN was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
In the middle stages, VIVA POPCORN (Apprentice Y L Chung) over-raced. In the early part of the Straight, VIVA POPCORN was inclined to lay out and proved reluctant to shift to the inside of TURTLE AGAIN. Then near the 175 Metres, VIVA POPCORN was directed to the outside of TURTLE AGAIN to secure clear running. After the race, Apprentice Y L Chung reported that his mount jumped awkwardly and as a consequence settled further back than he had anticipated. He said he confirmed that under pressure in the Straight VIVA POPCORN lay out and proved difficult to ride out. A veterinary inspection of VIVA POPCORN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Approaching the 150 Metres, HAPPY ANGEL shifted in and brushed with WORLD FAMOUS.
HELENE ALLIBOR raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
JUNE PLANET, LONDON LUCKYSTAR and HAPPY ANGEL were sent for sampling.
<20/4/2023 Additional Veterinary Reports> The Veterinary Surgeon reported that WORLD FAMOUS was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, WORLD FAMOUS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
