Racing Incident Report

WINNING CIRCLE began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped CURLING LUXURY.
On jumping, PROUD SKY was crowded for room between REGENCY GEM which shifted out and WICKER which shifted in after receiving contact on the hindquarters from PROUD SKY.
From the outside barrier, ROMANTIC JOURNEY was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
In the Straight, REGENCY GEM hung in and proved difficult to ride and after endeavouring to improve to the outside of MONEY MARSHAL (L Hewitson) after passing the 200 Metres, REGENCY GEM was obliged to switch to the inside of the heels of that horse when it shifted out approaching the 150 Metres. Then over the final 50 Metres, REGENCY GEM was held up and unable to be tested when awkwardly placed inside the heels of MONEY MARSHAL which shifted back in under pressure. L Hewitson was advised to ensure that he makes more endeavour to keep his mounts on a straight course in future.
A veterinary inspection of WINNING CIRCLE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
REGENCY GEM, CURLING LUXURY and MONEY MARSHAL were sent for sampling.
