Racing Incident Report
TEAM FORTUNE was withdrawn on 7.5.19 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter FANTASTIC FABIO (T H So). Before being allowed to race again, TEAM FORTUNE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
After the blindfold was removed from JUST NOT LISTENING, that horse became fractious and lunged at the front gates and then as the start was effected lifted its front feet off the ground and consequently lost ground. JUST NOT LISTENING was then crossed by CAO CAO in the early stages.
E GENERATION began awkwardly and lost ground.
HAPPY FUN began only fairly.
FANTASTIC FABIO shifted out at the start and bumped JOYFUL MOMENTS which in turn shifted out and bumped COBY OPPA which began awkwardly.
From a wide barrier, JOYFUL MOMENTS was steadied to obtain cover in the early stages.
Making the turn approaching the 700 Metres, MASSIVE POCKET was momentarily eased away from the heels of FANTASTIC FABIO.
At the 700 Metres, ENCORE BOY was eased away from the heels of COBY OPPA which shifted in when just clear.
Passing the 300 Metres, C Schofield (JUST NOT LISTENING) dropped his left rein.
Throughout the race, CASA DE FORCA travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of E GENERATION immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.
A veterinary inspection of MASSIVE POCKET immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, MASSIVE POCKET will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of CAO CAO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
JUST NOT LISTENING, COBY OPPA and HANDSOME REBEL were sent for sampling.
