Racing Incident Report

On arrival at the Start, the tongue tie applied to KASI FARASI was replaced.
BIZ POWER was slow to begin.
MAGNIFICENT shifted in at the start and bumped KINGSFIELD which was crowded for room and taken in onto WINNING ENDEAVOUR.
After the 1000 Metres, WITNESS HUNTER was left racing wide and without cover.
Near the 650 Metres, WITNESS HUNTER was taken wider by AMAZING which shifted to the outside of BEAUTY SPIRIT.
Approaching the 500 Metres, AMAZING raced tight outside BEAUTY SPIRIT which got its head on the side and lay out. Then passing the 500 Metres, AMAZING was steadied away from the heels of BEAUTY SPIRIT as that horse was taken out further by KASI FARASI.
NOBLE STEED was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight and then near the 300 Metres was checked away from the heels of KINGSFIELD when disappointed for running between that horse and KASI FARASI. NOBLE STEED was then shifted to the outside of KASI FARASI passing the 250 Metres to obtain clear running.
When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of NOT USUAL TALENT, U Rispoli stated that stepping up in distance today and from the wide barrier, he was asked to obtain a forward position. He said after having to ride his mount along in the initial stages of the race he was able to shift NOT USUAL TALENT across to race outside the leader SUN TOUCH and after briefly travelling keenly passing the 1000 Metres the horse then relaxed well. He said however that NOT USUAL TALENT came under pressure passing the 600 Metres and he had to ride the horse vigorously prior to the 500 Metres. He added NOT USUAL TALENT did not respond at all to his riding and then weakened noticeably in the Home Straight to finish at the rear of the field. A veterinary inspection of NOT USUAL TALENT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

A veterinary inspection of SUPER HERO immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER HERO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
KASI FARASI and NOBLE STEED were sent for sampling.
<21/1/2019 Additional Veterinary Report>SUPER HERO, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. SUPER HERO was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer Y S Tsui this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. As previously advised, SUPER HERO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
<30/1/2019 20 January 2019 Sha Tin racemeeting Race 9 (356)>Mr F C Lor, the trainer of WITNESS HUNTER, was advised that a warning had been placed upon that horse which in Race 9 on 20 January 2019 at the Sha Tin racemeeting turned its head to the right towards AMAZING passing the 100 Metres.
