Racing Incident Report

Shortly after the start, ROOKIE STAR was bumped by GLORY STAR which shifted in.
From the outside barriers, DUTCH WINDMILL, MI BLANCO and CELEBRATION were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Passing the winning post on the first occasion, ROOKIE STAR was momentarily steadied away from the heels of MY BLESSING when being shifted in behind that horse to obtain cover. MONEY WINNER, which was following, was steadied away from the heels of ROOKIE STAR in consequence.
Near the 950 Metres, TELECOM TITAN, which had been racing keenly, was checked away from the heels of MAGIC AGILITY. After this, TELECOM TITAN continued to race close to the heels of MAGIC AGILITY.
Passing the 650 Metres, TELECOM TITAN and MONEY WINNER raced tight as TELECOM TITAN shifted out. This resulted in MONEY WINNER being left racing wide and without cover.
Passing the 500 Metres, MONEY WINNER was awkwardly placed behind ROOKIE STAR which shifted out when racing close to the heels of GLORY STAR.
Passing the 450 Metres, MONEY WINNER was again awkwardly placed outside the heels of ROOKIE STAR which shifted to the outside of GLORY STAR.
LETSGOFREE had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.
Near the 150 Metres, CELEBRATION shifted in and brushed DUTCH WINDMILL.
Approaching the 100 Metres, MONEY WINNER and LETSGOFREE raced tight.
J Moreira (LETSGOFREE) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that approaching the 200 Metres he permitted his mount to shift out when not clear of GLORY STAR, resulting in that horse being hampered and taken out onto TELECOM TITAN which as a result was also hampered and lost the running to which it was rightfully entitled. GOLDEN DEER was shifted out away from TELECOM TITAN in consequence. In the circumstances, the Stewards believed that the appropriate penalty was for J Moreira to be fined the sum $180,000.
A veterinary inspection of MY BLESSING and TELECOM TITAN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
MONEY WINNER, LETSGOFREE and CELEBRATION were sent for sampling.
