Racing Incident Report

FANTASTIC EIGHT, which was fractious in the Parade Ring, kicked out on a number of occasions. On arrival at the Start, FANTASTIC EIGHT was examined by the Veterinary Officer who, after the necessary consultations, said that the horse was suitable to race.
BLOCKER DEE began only fairly.
SEA JADE and E-SUPER bumped at the start.
COUNTRY MELODY and MY LITTLE FRIEND were crowded for room shortly after the start between JING JING WIN which shifted in and LUCKY WAN FENG which shifted out after being bumped by E-SUPER.
After travelling a short distance, LUCKY WAN FENG struck the heels of E-SUPER and blundered after E-SUPER shifted out when racing tight outside SEA JADE.
From the outside barrier, ALMABABY was steadied shortly after the start and shifted across behind runners.
COUNTRY MELODY lost its right front plate after the 1000 Metres.
SEA JADE travelled keenly in the lead in the middle stages.
SUPER FLUKE made the turn near the 550 Metres awkwardly.
Passing the 200 Metres, BLOCKER DEE was eased when momentarily crowded for room between JING JING WIN and PERPETUAL JOYANCE (O Doleuze), both of which shifted ground. After this, PERPETUAL JOYANCE shifted out under pressure and bumped JING JING WIN which became unbalanced passing the 150 Metres. O Doleuze was reprimanded and advised that in similar circumstances he must do more than he did on this occasion to prevent his mounts from shifting ground.
At the 150 Metres, SEA JADE and SUPER FLUKE bumped due to both horses shifting ground.
Throughout the race, BLOCKER DEE travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on LUCKY WAN FENG at the request of Trainer C S Shum. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY WAN FENG will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
SUPER FLUKE and CALIFORNIA WHIP were sent for sampling.
