Racing Incident Report

VICTOR EMPEROR shifted out at the start and bumped WONDERFUL CHASER.
SNOWHOOVES was checked on jumping when crowded for room between CELEBRATION and MAGICAL CHAMPION, both of which shifted ground. In this incident, all three horses became unbalanced as a result of racing tight.
Shortly after the start, VICTOR EMPEROR got its head up when being steadied to obtain a position with cover behind runners.
From the outside barriers, GENERAL O’REILLY and G-ONE UNION were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 1200 Metres, MAGICAL CHAMPION was bumped by CELEBRATION which was taken out marginally by LAUGHING LORD.
Approaching the 1100 Metres, KWAICHUNG BROTHERS and GREAT TOPLIGHT momentarily raced in restricted room inside LAUGHING LORD. After this, GREAT TOPLIGHT commenced to travel keenly and got its head up when being steadied to obtain cover behind MAGICAL CHAMPION.
Passing the 1000 Metres, MAGICAL CHAMPION was steadied away from the heels of GOBI STORM (Apprentice M F Poon) which shifted in when not properly clear. Apprentice Poon, who was resuming riding today from a previously incurred period of suspension for careless riding, was severely reprimanded and advised to ensure that he provides sufficient clearance when crossing other runners. He was also reminded of his race riding record this season in respect of breaches of the careless riding Rule.
Passing the 800 Metres, CELEBRATION got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of GREAT TOPLIGHT. SNOWHOOVES, which was following, was hampered in consequence. For some distance after this, SNOWHOOVES travelled keenly and got its head up when awkwardly placed behind CELEBRATION.
Passing the 500 Metres, SNOWHOOVES continued to be awkwardly placed behind CELEBRATION.
After the 400 Metres, GREAT TOPLIGHT was momentarily awkwardly placed outside the heels of VICTOR EMPEROR which shifted out to obtain clear running.
Near the 350 Metres, CELEBRATION was momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of MASSIVE POWER.
Approaching the 300 Metres, KWAICHUNG BROTHERS was shifted to the outside of LAUGHING LORD in an attempt to improve between that horse and MAGICAL CHAMPION where there was not quite sufficient room. As KWAICHUNG BROTHERS was attempting to improve between those horses, LAUGHING LORD shifted out marginally, resulting in KWAICHUNG BROTHERS not establishing running between LAUGHING LORD and MAGICAL CHAMPION and being severely checked approaching the 200 Metres. When disappointed for running between LAUGHING LORD and MAGICAL CHAMPION, KWAICHUNG BROTHERS bumped the hindquarters of MAGICAL CHAMPION which became badly unbalanced.
Also approaching the 300 Metres, SNOWHOOVES was momentarily held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of GOLD TALENT.
For the majority of the race, MASSIVE POWER travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of GOBI STORM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WONDERFUL CHASER, G-ONE UNION and VICTOR EMPEROR were sent for sampling.
