Racing Incident Report

BORN DRAGON was withdrawn on 30.5.17 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter BEAR RAPPER (K Teetan). Before being allowed to race again, BORN DRAGON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
FLYING GODSPELL began awkwardly and shortly after the start was bumped by SMILING GLORY.
CALIFORNIA ASPAR was crowded for room on jumping between BOLSHOI BALLET and STAR SUPERIOR which shifted in. After this, CALIFORNIA ASPAR and BOLSHOI BALLET continued to race tight for some distance.
BEAR RAPPER shifted out at the start, resulting in JIMSON THE FAMOUS being hampered.
Passing the 800 Metres, JIMSON THE FAMOUS improved into tight running between BEAR RAPPER and GOLDIE FLANKER. After this, JIMSON THE FAMOUS raced in restricted room for some distance between those horses and passing the 700 Metres shifted in and brushed the hindquarters of GOLDIE FLANKER which then became unbalanced and shifted out, causing JIMSON THE FAMOUS to be crowded for room inside BEAR RAPPER.
Near the 250 Metres, BOLSHOI BALLET was brushed and taken wider by GOLDIE FLANKER which shifted out to obtain clear running.
Passing the 200 Metres, SMILING GLORY was momentarily held up for clear running behind FISH N’ CHIPS.
Near the 150 Metres, O Doleuze (GIDDY GIDDY) dropped his whip.
For the majority of the race, SALSA BROTHERS travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of EVEREST and FLYING GODSPELL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
BOLSHOI BALLET, GOLDIE FLANKER and STAR SUPERIOR were sent for sampling.
