Racing Incident Report
ROMAN WIN, which was fractious in the barriers, blundered badly at the start.
SUMARAND DRAGON began awkwardly, shifted out at the start and bumped SICHUAN VIGOUR. A short distance later, SUMARAND DRAGON was steadied after being crowded for room between MR GINGER and SICHUAN VIGOUR which was taken in by ROMAN WIN which remained unbalanced after blundering at the start.
From outside barriers, SPARKLING B, ONGOING VOLATILITY and MR GOURMET were all taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Making the turns and in the Straight, MR GOURMET got its head on the side and lay out.
MR GOURMET lost its right front plate near the 450 Metres.
At the 300 Metres, SUMARAND DRAGON was momentarily steadied away from the heels of SICHUAN VIGOUR which was taken out slightly by ROMAN WIN.
Near the 50 Metres, ONGOING VOLATILITY was shifted out away from the heels of SPARKLING B.
A veterinary inspection of ROMAN WIN immediately following the race found that horse to be distressed. Before being allowed to race again, ROMAN WIN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
MR GINGER and SICHUAN VIGOUR were sent for sampling.
