Racing Incident Report
PERFECT TEN began very awkwardly and lost ground.
ABLE DRAGON became unbalanced shortly after the start when bumped by MIRAGE R which in turn was taken out by TIPPERARY DAVOR which shifted ground after being bumped by CHANTILLY.
From wide barriers, SURE CHAMP and KING GALILEO were taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Passing the winning post on the first occasion, PERFECT TEN raced tight inside GLORY OF INDIA which was awkwardly placed inside the heels of EAST OCEAN.
Near the 1300 Metres, SURE CHAMP was hampered when racing in restricted room inside CHANTILLY and close to the heels of GLORY OF INDIA.
Passing the 1300 Metres, EAST OCEAN shifted out away from the heels of SABINA which was taken wider by GOLD TARTINI which got its head on the side and shifted out across the heels of MIRAGE R. After this, EAST OCEAN was left racing wide and without cover.
Making the turn after the 1000 Metres, SABINA shifted out when proving difficult to settle and awkwardly placed close to the heels of MIRAGE R. SABINA then continued to prove difficult to settle and near the 900 Metres was allowed to improve its position into the lead.
Making the turn after the 600 Metres, GLORY OF INDIA raced tight between EAST OCEAN and GOLD TARTINI.
Approaching the 500 Metres, TIPPERARY DAVOR momentarily raced tight inside MIRAGE R.
In the early part of the Straight, GLORY OF INDIA got its head on the side and lay in under pressure.
Approaching the 150 Metres, DARK SECRET was momentarily steadied when unable to improve between MIRAGE R and GOLD TARTINI, both of which shifted slight ground.
A veterinary inspection of PERFECT TEN immediately following the race revealed the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, PERFECT TEN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of CHANTILLY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SURE CHAMP and SABINA were sent for sampling.
<16/5/2013 Additional Veterinary Report>CHANTILLY, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. CHANTILLY was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer L Ho this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, CHANTILLY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
