Racing Incident Report
SEA DRAGON was withdrawn on 9.5.13 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (fever). SEA DIAMOND was withdrawn on 10.5.13 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore). Before being allowed to race again, SEA DRAGON and SEA DIAMOND will both be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
On arrival at the Start, NICE FOLKS had its left front plate refitted. NICE FOLKS was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.
As the start was effected, OUTDOOR PEGASUS lifted its front feet off the ground and consequently lost ground.
PERFECT CHEERS was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Rounding the Home Turn, WINNING LEADER and BUSINESS AS USUAL (T Angland) raced tight as WINNING LEADER attempted to shift out from behind REAL SUPREME into clear running. T Angland was spoken to regarding his right elbow being extended away from his body at this time.
WINNING LEADER was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight and then near the 250 Metres was steadied after being crowded for room inside REAL SUPREME which got its head on the side and shifted in momentarily.
OUTDOOR PEGASUS and FAMILISTS had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.
A veterinary inspection of REAL SUPREME immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WINNING LEADER and BLAZING SPEED were sent for sampling.
