Racing Incident Report

Shortly after the start, FORTUNE TOGETHER and RIYADH, which began awkwardly, raced tight inside CHATER D’CAT.
From a wide barrier, HEALTHY BLUEBERRY was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Near the 1400 Metres, DANESOUTH was awkwardly placed close to the heels of COMPACT YARN.
At the 700 Metres, COMPACT YARN was steadied away from the heels of ISLAND SPRING.
Near the 500 Metres, ISLAND SPRING and CHATER D’CAT raced tight and bumped on a number of occasions.
In the Straight, NAUGHTY BABY got its head on the side and hung in under pressure.
For the majority of the race, TARREGA travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on FORTUNE TOGETHER at the request of Trainer Y S Tsui. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, FORTUNE TOGETHER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of RIYADH after the race revealed that the horse was distressed and was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being permitted to race again, RIYADH will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of NAUGHTY BABY after the race did not show any significant findings.
LEO’S PRIDE and DARS AUTO were sent for sampling.
