Racing Incident Report

After being loaded, BULLISH POWER became fractious. Before being allowed to race again, BULLISH POWER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. From a wide barrier, SUNNY SMILES was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. KING GALILEO was crowded for room shortly after the start between BULLISH POWER and MISTER HORSE. Near the 1700 Metres, GORGEOUS RULER was crowded for room by MEDIC FORTUNE which at this time became unbalanced after being taken in by STORM’S DESTINY which was directed in by M’S MAGIC (Z Purton) which shifted in when not quite clear. Z Purton was severely reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in similar circumstances. In the early stages, SURROUNDED was left racing wide and without cover and prior to the 1400 Metres was allowed to stride into a forward position. Approaching the 1400 Metres, FANTASTIC GUY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of GORGEOUS RULER. After the 200 Metres, MISTER HORSE was bumped by NOBLE FLIER which got its head on the side and shifted in. Passing the 150 Metres, GORGEOUS RULER was crowded for room inside BULLISH POWER which, after initially being directed in slightly by M’S MAGIC, shifted further away from that horse. Over the concluding stages, BULLISH POWER shifted out and brushed M’S MAGIC. A veterinary inspection of MEDIC FORTUNE including an endoscopic examination after the race showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea and was lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, MEDIC FORTUNE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SURROUNDED and BULLISH POWER were sent for sampling.
