Racing Incident Report

DEEP THINKER was slow to begin and then shortly after the start shifted out towards the heels of QUANTUM POWER. NOBLE DEFEATER slipped behind on jumping and lost ground. After the 1000 Metres, RADIOMARELLI was left racing wide and without cover. In the early part of the Straight, LIBERTY VALANCE had difficulty obtaining clear running and approaching the 200 Metres was steadied when disappointed for running between PROLIFIC CHAMPION and HOLY MAC. Passing the 350 Metres, DEEP THINKER raced in restricted room inside SUPER TIGER. Passing the 200 Metres, SCARLET CAMELLIA got its head on the side and hung in, resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten the horse. Near the 150 Metres, SUPER TIGER was shifted out away from the heels of SNITZEL KID which was giving ground. Passing the 100 Metres, DEEP THINKER was unable to obtain clear running behind RECORD HIGH and inside SUPER TIGER. Close to the line, SCARLET CAMELLIA was momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of FLASH KNIGHT (B Prebble) which shifted in. LIBERTY VALANCE, which was following, was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SCARLET CAMELLIA in consequence. B Prebble was advised to exercise more care. A veterinary inspection of DEEP THINKER after the race did not show any significant findings. SUPREME FLIGHT and FLASH KNIGHT were sent for sampling.
