Racing Incident Report

IMPECCABLE was withdrawn on 1.3.12 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (infection/lame right hind) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter BURGUNDY MAC. Before being allowed to race again, IMPECCABLE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. YI HAO MU was checked at the start when crowded for room between BENEFACTOR and ELECTRONIC FORTUNE which shifted out abruptly after beginning awkwardly. EASY TRACK began awkwardly and then was heavily bumped by LONGWAH KID which as the start was effected lifted its front feet off the ground and shifted out. After this, LONGWAH KID was taken across behind runners. CRAIG’S PRIDE began awkwardly. Near the 1100 Metres, YI HAO MU shifted in towards the running rail and became badly unbalanced of its own accord. At the 1000 Metres, ELECTRONIC FORTUNE got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of BENEFACTOR. ELECTRONIC FORTUNE then remained racing close to the heels of BENEFACTOR for some distance after this. Near the 700 Metres , LONGWAH KID, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head on the side and shifted out across the heels of CRIMSON. ELECTRONIC FORTUNE was not able to obtain clear running until near the 300 Metres. Throughout the race, LITTLE RAINFOREST travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. A veterinary inspection of BENEFACTOR and CLEMENT SPIRIT after the race did not show any significant findings. ELECTRONIC FORTUNE, CRAIG’S PRIDE and COOL BEAN were sent for sampling.
