Racing Incident Report
As the start was effected, NO MORE GREEN lifted its front feet off the ground and as a consequence lost a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, NO MORE GREEN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. MR CELERITY shifted out at the start and bumped the hindquarters of BOULD MOVER which became unbalanced and shifted in, resulting in MR CELERITY being hampered. CHEVALIER KING shifted out at the start and in doing so bumped ABLE GREY. From the outside barrier, SHINING VICTORY was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. At the 600 Metres, FOREVER ELATION raced tight inside ABLE SPEED which got its head on the side and shifted in away from BOULD MOVER. Rounding the Home Turn, PERFECT STYLE became badly unbalanced when crowded for room inside ABLE SPEED which got its head on the side and hung in away from ABLE GREY. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of BUNDLE O’ GOLD, B Prebble stated that, in his opinion, the horse travelled only fairly in the early and middle stages which was in contrast to the manner in which it travelled in a recent barrier trial which it was successful in when travelling in a forward position. He said whilst BUNDLE O’ GOLD did not appear to appreciate having CHEVALIER KING racing to its outside, the horse came off the bridle shortly after the 400 Metres. He added despite being ridden out in the Straight, BUNDLE O’ GOLD did not respond and, in his opinion, was disappointing. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that BOULD MOVER had lost its left front plate. A veterinary inspection of NO MORE GREEN and BUNDLE O’ GOLD after the race did not show any significant findings. BUNDLE O’ GOLD, SUPER BOY and CHEVALIER KING were sent for sampling.
<17/3/2011 Additional Veterinary Report>BUNDLE O’ GOLD, which performed poorly, was examined by the Head of Veterinary Regulation & International Liaison. He said at that time there were no significant findings. BUNDLE O’ GOLD was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer D J Hall this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, BUNDLE O’ GOLD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
