Racing Incident Report

OUR PEGASUS began awkwardly and shortly after the start was bumped by MR AWARD which shifted out. From the outside barrier, KING OF HEARTS was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Shortly after the start, CENTURY SUPER STAR was steadied when crowded for room between CHARITY SPIRIT and LONGWAH RISING which at this time got its head on the side and shifted out away from WEI HAI INVINCIBLE. Approaching the turn near the 1000 Metres, OUR PEGASUS and GLENEALY STAR bumped. As a consequence, GLENEALY STAR got its head up and shifted out across the heels of SUPER PLUS. Also in this incident, OUR PEGASUS shifted in slightly, resulting in MR AWARD being momentarily crowded for room. Approaching the 1000 Metres, LONGWAH RISING, which was racing wide, was steadied away from the heels of WEI HAI INVINCIBLE which shifted out. Shortly after entering the Straight, REGENCY WINNER was directed back to the inside of OUR PEGASUS to obtain clear running. When improving to the inside of that horse, OUR PEGASUS shifted in after being brushed by CENTURY SUPER STAR, resulting in REGENCY WINNER being awkwardly placed inside the heels of OUR PEGASUS for some distance. Over the concluding stages, REGENCY WINNER remained awkwardly placed when racing in restricted room between SUPER PLUS and OUR PEGASUS and because of this was not able to be properly tested in the Straight. Throughout the race, WEI HAI INVINCIBLE travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that CHARITY SPIRIT had lost its left front plate. GLENEALY STAR, CENTURY SUPER STAR and MY TIME were sent for sampling.
