Racing Incident Report

CITY DRAGON began awkwardly. CARE FREE MIDAS was slow to begin and shortly after the start was bumped by CENTURY MOLLY which shifted in. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, CITY DRAGON was steadied when crowded for room between SOMETHING SPECIAL which got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of PERFECT TEN and MASTER DREAMER which was taken in by CENTURY MOLLY. Near the 500 Metres, PERFECT TEN was bumped and taken wider by NICKU which shifted out to improve. Near the 250 Metres, NICKU was momentarily crowded for room between JOLLY WONGCHOY and PERFECT TEN which shifted in. Passing the 200 Metres, MEDIC FORTUNE was steadied when held up for clear running and then close to the finishing line was directed in away from the heels of JOLLY WONGCHOY which shifted out. Near the 150 Metres, O Peslier (JOLLY WONGCHOY) dropped his whip. Near the 100 Metres, NICKU raced in restricted room between MEDIC FORTUNE and PERFECT TEN which shifted in. Throughout the race, CENTURY MOLLY travelled wide and without cover. Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that the riding of H Uchida (GILDED FLIGHT) over the concluding stages did not affect the horse’s finishing position, he was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ride his mount out right to the end of the race where circumstances permit. SOMETHING SPECIAL and JOLLY WONGCHOY were sent for sampling.
