Racing Incident Report
WIN THE CASH was withdrawn on 30.10.10 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter THE PRINCE (D Beadman). Before being allowed to race again, WIN THE CASH will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. THE PRINCE began awkwardly, resulting in D Beadman, its rider, becoming badly unbalanced in the saddle. FORTUNE BUNNY and SUPREME TYCOON were crowded for room at the start between MULTIPROUD and FLASHING GUY which got its head on the side and shifted out after being bumped by JOYFUL JOYFUL. SPIRIT OF SECRETS began awkwardly and then hung in throughout the race. Approaching the 500 Metres, SUPREME TYCOON raced in restricted room between THE PRINCE and MULTIPROUD. Rounding the Home Turn, THE PRINCE became unbalanced. In the early part of the Straight, FLASHING GUY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of JOYFUL JOYFUL when reluctant to shift to the outside of that horse Also in the early part of the Straight, SUPREME TYCOON was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FORTUNE BUNNY. Over the concluding stages, FORTUNE BUNNY was awkwardly placed inside the heels of GUNNER MAC which itself was steadied away from the heels of SPIRIT OF SECRETS which got its head on the side and hung in. Also over the concluding stages, THE PRINCE was held up for clear running behind WELL DONE and DESTINY’S CHILD which was giving ground. After the race, Z Purton (DESTINY’S CHILD) reported that his mount’s action did not feel comfortable during the race. A veterinary inspection of DESTINY’S CHILD after the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, DESTINY’S CHILD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. TOWKAY FLYER and CHINA GOOD were sent for sampling. Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that FLASHING GUY had lost its left front plate.
