Racing Incident Report
PERFECT STYLE was slow to begin. DYNAMIC BLITZ jumped with its head in the air and began awkwardly. Near the 850 Metres, PERFECT STYLE was steadied when racing tight to the inside of SWEET SANETTE. Also near the 850 Metres, TAI SING YEH was awkwardly placed close to the heels of DIM SUM. Passing the 700 Metres, FLEET COMMAND got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of AMIGO. Over the concluding stages, DYNAMIC BLITZ was checked away from the heels of FLEET COMMAND which at this time shifted in to avoid the heels of TAI SING YEH (Z Purton) which itself shifted in under pressure. Z Purton was advised that in similar circumstances he would be expected to stop riding and straighten his mount. Throughout the race, both CERISE CHERRY and DREAM TEAM travelled wide and without cover. When questioned, D Beadman stated that he had been instructed to have ONE WORLD racing in a midfield position if possible. He said ONE WORLD began well and he had hoped that the speed of the race in the early stages would be genuine which would allow ONE WORLD to obtain a position in midfield with cover. He said however that the pace of the race in the early stages was not as quick as he had anticipated and in the early stages he was left racing wide to the outside of TAI SING YEH and VITAL FLYER. He said rather than remain racing wide with 133 lbs, he elected to steady ONE WORLD and shift that horse in behind VITAL FLYER to race with cover. He said that ONE WORLD travelled well in the middle stages and rounding the Home Turn was positioned behind DREAM TEAM and to the inside of NO MORE GREEN. He said at this time he was racing nearly on terms with NO MORE GREEN. He added he did not believe it was open to him to steady ONE WORLD to come back and around NO MORE GREEN as this would have resulted in ONE WORLD losing a considerable amount of ground at this stage of the race. He said therefore he attempted to try and obtain a run between horses in the early part of the Straight, however, when both DREAM TEAM and NO MORE GREEN did not improve their positions, he shifted to the inside of DREAM TEAM to follow VITAL FLYER through. He said however that VITAL FLYER was finishing off the race fairly, therefore he considered to shift to the inside of VITAL FLYER to follow TAI SING YEH through. He said however that as he did not believe this horse was improving quick enough for him to obtain a run through, therefore he steadied ONE WORLD passing the 200 Metres and shifted to the outside of runners to obtain clear running. A veterinary inspection of ONE WORLD and NO MORE GREEN after the race did not show any significant findings. SWEET SANETTE, CERISE CHERRY and TAI SING YEH were sent for sampling.
<25/10/2010Additional Veterinary Report >NO MORE GREEN, which performed poorly, was examined by the Head of Veterinary Regulation & International Liaison. He said at that time there were no significant findings. NO MORE GREEN was again examined by the Head of Veterinary Regulation & International Liaison at the stables of Trainer A S Cruz this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, NO MORE GREEN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
