Racing Incident Report

LUCKY TYCOON was slow to begin. UNITED began very awkwardly, shifted out and made solid contact with the hindquarters of FAIRY`S KISS, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. Shortly after the start, AMBITIOUS OWNER and CONFUCIUS FORTUNE were crowded for room between BIG WINNER AGAIN and JUST FANTASTIC, both of which shifted ground. Passing the 1000 Metres, AMBITIOUS OWNER was steadied away from the heels of FLOREAT DAYS. CONFUCIUS FORTUNE, which was following, was hampered in consequence. After the 1000 Metres, SUPER FIGHTER was left racing wide and without cover. For some distance approaching and passing the 600 Metres, LUCKY TYCOON got its head up when racing close to the heels of BOYZ ROCK. Rounding the Home Turn, AMBITIOUS OWNER was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FLOREAT DAYS, shifted out and bumped CONFUCIUS FORTUNE. Near the 400 Metres, LUCKY TYCOON was shifted out when disappointed for running inside JUST FANTASTIC which at this time got its head on the side and shifted in when racing close to the heels of THINK BIG. On return to scale, Jockey W C Marwing reported that FAIRY`S KISS had coughed on a number of occasions on pulling up. A veterinary inspection of FAIRY`S KISS after the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse`s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, FAIRY`S KISS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. UNITED, AMBITIOUS OWNER and HAPPY MASTER were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that JUST FANTASTIC had lost its left hind plate.
