Racing Incident Report

KHARU, which was fractious in the barriers, was slow to begin. FOREVER DESTINY was slow to begin. FUJIAN EMPEROR began awkwardly and lost ground. HINYUEN PALADIN and DASHING ACE blundered at the start. Shortly after the start, JUST GOOD, which began awkwardly, was crowded for room between FULFIL A WISH and AMAZING AWARD which was taken out by KING OF FISH II which in turn was taken out by FAY FAY. Near the 800 Metres, FAY FAY was momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of HINYUEN PALADIN. Passing the 800 Metres, FULFIL A WISH was steadied away from the heels of HINYUEN PALADIN (C W Wong) which shifted out when not properly clear. C W Wong was reprimanded and advised to ensure he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in future. Near the 350 Metres, MORE LUCKY was steadied away from the heels of FULFIL A WISH. Passing the 300 Metres, FUJIAN EMPEROR, which was giving ground, was inconvenienced when FULFIL A WISH (O Doleuze) shifted out. O Doleuze was advised to exercise care. At the 200 Metres, SUPERIOR WARRIOR was bumped by FAY FAY which shifted out. JUST GOOD raced greenly over the final 200 Metres. Over the concluding stages, TRAVEL PRINCE shifted out across the heels of KING OF FISH II. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of FUJIAN EMPEROR, J Lloyd stated that after being slow to begin, he rode the horse along as he had been instructed to lead on it as it was felt that FUJIAN EMPEROR does not race best when behind other runners. He added due to the manner in which FUJIAN EMPEROR began, he had to make some use of the horse to obtain a forward position. He said FUJIAN EMPEROR came under pressure near the 400 Metres and weakened badly from this point onwards. A veterinary inspection of FUJIAN EMPEROR after the race did not show any significant findings. HINYUEN PALADIN, FULFIL A WISH and FAY FAY were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that DASHING ACE had lost its right front plate.
