Racing Incident Report

Prior to leaving the holding stables, JUST RIGHT had its right hind plate refitted. JUST RIGHT was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. WINNER was slow to begin, shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of SECRET OF WINNING. WINNING PAL was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, MEGABUCKS was checked when crowded for room between JUST RIGHT and CLASSA FOR EVER which got its head on the side and shifted out abruptly. Passing the 800 Metres, WINNER, which had been ridden along to make up ground, was checked when momentarily crowded for room inside SEIZE THE DAY (Z Purton) which shifted in slightly. Z Purton was told to exercise greater care. After the 800 Metres, SEIZE THE DAY was carried in by MEGABUCKS. Approaching and making the Home Turn, SEIZE THE DAY was held up when awkwardly placed inside the heels of MEGABUCKS. At the 250 Metres, W C Marwing (SECRET OF WINNING) reached down and adjusted his right foot in the stirrup. Near the 200 Metres, MEGABUCKS was shifted wider to obtain clear running. At the 200 Metres, TRANSCENDENCE was momentarily steadied when awkwardly placed between MASTER GREEN and WINNER which shifted out. JUST RIGHT was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of JUST RIGHT after the race did not show any significant findings. SECRET OF WINNING, TOUT VA BIEN and MAGIC KING were sent for sampling.
