Racing Incident Report

HAPPY SEVEN was withdrawn on 4.4.09 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter ALL TIME HIGH (Apprentice K C Leung). Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY SEVEN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. On jumping, SOMETHING SPECIAL bounded in the air and lost ground. Also on jumping, GRAND DRAGON was bumped by WIN-A-LOT which shifted out after being bumped by APPRECIATION which began awkwardly and shifted ground. Shortly after the start, HANDSOME TARGET became unbalanced after being bumped by TOY STORY which shifted ground after being bumped by ALL TIME HIGH. When HANDSOME TARGET became unbalanced, it bumped the hindquarters of WINNING FELLOWSHIP which also became unbalanced. On straightening, HORSE WIN WIN was steadied away from the heels of GRAND DRAGON which shifted out into clear running. For a short distance after straightening, WINNING FELLOWSHIP had some difficulty obtaining clear running. Over the concluding stages, GRAND DRAGON shifted in under pressure. EASY AHEAD and TOY STORY were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of EASY AHEAD and TOY STORY after the race did not show any significant findings. APPRECIATION, BOLERO and GRAND DRAGON were sent for sampling.
