Racing Incident Report

After arriving at the Start, FLORAL PICASSO had its tongue tie refitted. After being boxed, JOHNSON became fractious, lunged forward and broke down the front gate of its stall. GALLANT WIN began awkwardly and lost ground. On jumping, JOHNSON and FANTASTIC DANCER bumped and CHINESE COURSER and MASTER DREAMER bumped. In the early stages, from a wide barrier, ESPACE D'OR was taken back. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, LUCKY MONEY STAR failed to muster speed and in the early stages travelled wide and without cover. In the early and middle stages, JOHNSON travelled wide and without cover. Making the turn at the 700 Metres, WADADELIGHT was steadied away from the heels of OLYMPICSHIP which was carried in slightly by JOHNSON. For a considerable distance after the 700 Metres, STORM'S DESTINY was steadied when racing close to the heels of GALLANT WIN. Prior to straightening, WADADELIGHT was again steadied when awkwardly placed behind JOHNSON and inside NIGHT HUNTER III. Making the Home Turn and in the early part of the Straight, NIGHT HUNTER III hung in. At the 250 Metres, WADADELIGHT and NIGHT HUNTER III bumped. After the 200 Metres, NIGHT HUNTER III was steadied when bumped and crowded for room inside WADADELIGHT which got its head on the side and hung in. After this, WADADELIGHT continued to hang in and proved difficult to ride in the run to the line. OLYMPICSHIP, JOHNSON and GALLANT WIN were sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, GALLANT WIN was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said the horse had bled from both nostrils. A veterinary inspection of OLYMPICSHIP and JOHNSON after the race did not show any significant findings. ALICE TOO and WADADELIGHT were sent for sampling.
