Racing Incident Report

SIR GALAHAD, which was fractious in its stall, began awkwardly and lost ground and shortly afterwards was steadied away from the hindquarters of RICH DRAGON. GLOBAL WIN began awkwardly, got its head up, shifted out and bumped LUCKY CHAMPION. SUPER FIGHTER began awkwardly, causing B Doyle, its rider, to become unbalanced. On jumping, CENTURY SUPER STAR knuckled, then from the outside barrier was taken across behind runners. In the early and middle stages, ONE TOUCH travelled wide and without cover. In the middle stages, MAGIC TEMPLE proved difficult to settle. Rounding the Home Turn and in the early part of the Straight, GLOBAL WIN had difficulty obtaining clear running. In the early part of the Straight, MAGIC TEMPLE had difficulty obtaining clear running. Throughout the race, KING ACRYLIC travelled wide and without cover. M Du Plessis (WADADELIGHT) was not able to offer an explanation for the performance of the horse. He said WADADELIGHT travelled in a forward position as instructed. He said making the turn at the 700 Metres WADADELIGHT got its head on the side and hung in away from KING ACRYLIC. He said at this time WADADELIGHT made contact with RICH DRAGON and became unbalanced. He said after entering the Home Straight WADADELIGHT did not respond to his riding. He said the manner in which WADADELIGHT gave ground led him to believe the horse might have a problem internally. WADADELIGHT was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of WADADELIGHT after the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, WADADELIGHT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. THREE CLUBS was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, THREE CLUBS was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, THREE CLUBS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of WADADELIGHT after the race did not show any significant findings. RICH DRAGON and BERIO were sent for sampling.
