Racing Incident Report

WISE LOVER was slow to begin, then lost further ground when bumped by CHEERFUL MASTER which shifted out. After this, CHEERFUL MASTER was taken across behind runners. WALKONTHEWILDSIDE began awkwardly and lost ground. After the 1000 Metres, WINNING FELLOWSHIP was left racing wide and without cover. Near the 50 Metres, WILLING STORM was steadied away from the heels of VIKING TOR (B Prebble) which shifted in when not quite clear. B Prebble was told to exercise greater care. Just prior to the winning post, CALIFORNIA LUCK was steadied when crowded for room between SPARKLING STAR and CHEERFUL MASTER, both of which shifted ground. In this incident, H W Lai (CHEERFUL MASTER) stopped riding and straightened his mount and because of this the horse was not ridden out to the end of the race as it normally would be. In the Straight, WEI HAI INVINCIBLE hung out. WILLING STORM, VIKING TOR and WALKONTHEWILDSIDE were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported WEI HAI INVINCIBLE had sustained abrasions to its right stifle and hock.
