Racing Incident Report

ALL FOR ONE was slow to begin, then lost further ground when being steadied away from the heels of TYCOON TAYLOR which shifted out. CHOICE AND CHANCE and BILLION were slow into stride. MY GOAL began awkwardly, bumped the inside gate of its stall and lost ground. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, SILLY BOY failed to muster speed. Making the turn at the 700 Metres, CHOICE AND CHANCE became unbalanced and lost ground when crowded for room inside BILLION which was carried in by TYCOON TAYLOR (O Doleuze) which shifted in momentarily. In this incident, BILLION and TYCOON TAYLOR also became unbalanced. MAGIC KING, which was following, was steadied in consequence. In the circumstances, O Doleuze was severely reprimanded and told to exercise greater care. After the 600 Metres, CHOICE AND CHANCE and BILLION raced tight inside TYCOON TAYLOR. At the 400 Metres, DEMINER was steadied and shifted out when having difficulty obtaining clear running between GRAND GENERAL and JUST RIGHT. When questioned, E Saint-Martin (SUNNY GOLF) was unable to offer an explanation for the poor performance of the horse. He said SUNNY GOLF travelled satisfactorily in the run in a position behind midfield as anticipated, however, after straightening when placed under pressure failed to respond to his riding. SUNNY GOLF was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. BILLION was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SUNNY GOLF and BILLION after the race did not show any significant findings. GAUCHO and MAGIC KING were sent for sampling.
