Racing Incident Report
After being boxed, THUNDER FLASH became fractious, reared, hit its head on a rail inside the barriers and had its right front leg caught over the side partition. Acting on veterinary advice that THUNDER FLASH was not suitable to race, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of THUNDER FLASH. Before being allowed to race again, THUNDER FLASH will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Also after being boxed, MAGIC CHARIOT became fractious and broke through the front gates of its stall. MAGIC CHARIOT travelled a short distance before being reined in and was then returned to the Start where it was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. Before being allowed to race again, MAGIC CHARIOT will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. Making the turn at the 700 Metres, CLASSIC REUNION became unbalanced when awkwardly placed inside the heels of MAGIC CHARIOT. KINGIFLY hung out making the turn at the 700 Metres and was steadied away from the heels of RELY ON ME. Throughout the race, KINGS CROSS travelled wide and without cover. MAGIC CHARIOT was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, MAGIC CHARIOT was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said there were no significant findings other than the horse had lost its right front plate. GRAND STORE and DEMINER were sent for sampling.
