Racing Incident Report
Shortly after the start, SAVUTE and DR POSSI bumped. From a wide barrier, INDUSTRIAL EXPRESS was taken across behind runners in the early stages. In the early stages, DIAMOND ERA travelled wide and without cover. Approaching the 400 Metres, FANTUZZI was crowded for room between SIR LAGO and MULTO EXPRESSO which at this stage shifted away from the rail. Shortly after this, FANTUZZI was steadied away from the heels of PUERTO RICO. Prior to straightening, MULTO EXPRESS bumped the running rail and became unbalanced when crowded for room inside FANTUZZI which at this time shifted to a position towards the inside of PUERTO RICO. On straightening, SIR LAGO was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of MULTO EXPRESSO. Over the concluding stages, FANTUZZI hung in. Throughout the race, SIR LAGO travelled wide and without cover. G Boss (CIRCULAR MACHINE) was advised against making a celebratory gesture in such a manner as to cause interference to other runners after the winning post. DIAMOND ERA and SIR LAGO were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of DIAMOND ERA and SIR LAGO after the race did not show any significant findings. CIRCULAR MACHINE and DR POSSI were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported OCEAN TRANQUIL had bled from both nostrils.
